Mahableshwar<\/strong><\/a>: I have been familiar with this place by now and got an opportunity to explore a little more last year. Mahableshwar, the land of strawberries, is a popular hill station in Maharashtra. From taking the earning morning hike to Pratapgadh to handpicking freshest strawberries from the farm to devouring hot sweet corn in the local market, its always a pleasure coming back to this place.<\/p>\n Also read:<\/strong> Travel Guide to Mahableshwar<\/a><\/p>\n Vattakanal<\/strong>: It\u2019s a small village about 30mins away from Kodaikanal. Engulfed in a forest, Vattakanal has to be my best find of the year. With incredibly beautiful views and lush mountains, this is an underrated place in the whole of South India. From where to stay to what all to do, here is a short write up you should be referring to if you are planning to visit Vattakanal<\/a>.<\/p>\n Kodaikanal<\/strong>: The princess of hillstations, Kodaikanal is a beautiful yet more commercial hill station. It is more ideal for a family outing. Getting lost in tall dense Pine Forests, cycling around Kodai lake, visiting botanical gardens are some of the things to do in Kodai. Don\u2019t forget to try avocados and wild berries at the local fruit market.<\/p>\n Bangalore<\/strong>: With Bangalore<\/a> I have a love – hate relationship. As much I love this city for its beautiful caf\u00e9 culture, I hate that it\u2019s the most difficult city to commute. This was my third visit to Bangalore and by now I was familiar with the routes and areas I had to explore. Marching out the entire Kormangala and Indiranagar for best food in Bangalore, this trip was nothing short of some amazing memories I made.<\/p>\n Goa<\/strong><\/a>: I had been to Goa a couple of years back but I wanted to experience this popular destination for its off beaten path and hugely underrated spots. And this year\u2019s trip was all the more special as it included some time with mum away from home. The monsoon season is an entirely refreshing & different experience from Goa\u2019s reputation as a party destination.<\/p>\n Read all about rediscovering Goa here.<\/a><\/p>\n Udaipur<\/strong><\/a>: How could I let 2017 pass without checking Udaipur from my list? I had been planning a trip to Udaipur for almost two years & I had to pinch myself when I finally reached the white city of Rajasthan, Udaipur. Not only was the city as gorgeous as it appears in pictures, but it was also home to an incredible dine with a view.
