Staycation with Lemon Tree Premier, the Atrium – Ahmedabad

My recent trip to Ahmedabad was nothing short of memorable. Post a short stay in Surat, we headed to Ahmedabad to explore the largest city of Gujarat and India’s first UNESCO heritage city. Through this blog post, I am sharing my staycation experience at Lemon Tree Premier, The Atrium – Ahmedabad. Located on the bank of Sabarmati overlooking the riverfront, the hotel is located 12 km, a 30-minute ride from the airport or a 20-minute ride from the nearest railway station.

Hotel to stay in Ahmedabad

We arrived in the evening after a rather lengthy bus commute from Surat to Ahmedabad. We had a car organised by the hotel awaiting us at the bus stand. On prompt completion of the check-in formalities, we were ushered to our room. A few moments later, our luggage was delivered to our rooms along with two tall glasses of a welcome drink. In the room already awaiting were some savory snacks, fruits and local Gujarati sweets accompanied by a welcome letter.

Rooms at Lemon Tree Premier – The Atrium:

We were billeted at suite # 511, an aesthetically designed room with a living area, a bedroom equipped with a king-size bed and a Television, and a seating area by the window overlooking the riverfront view. The bathroom was quite spacious and accommodated a large bathtub, next to the wall adorned with a honeycomb pattern, an over-head rain shower and a squeaky-clean toilet with in-house brand toiletries. I love how they had replaced the tiny plastic bottles for toiletries with regular-sized dispensers to cut down on wastes.

Apart from the elegant room decor, comfy bed, widescreen tele, beautifully crafted work desk, origami-styled towels and swift wifi (very important), I was really impressed by the neat turndown service done by the housekeeping which leaves a refill of snacks and a handwritten note. Noteworthy !!!

My favorite nook in the room was the seating area by the window where I could sip on a cup of coffee and enjoy the view of the Sabarmati Riverfront.

Food:

Citrus Café is a bright and spacious all-day dining café. Breakfast and dinner here are served in a buffet format while Lunch is as per ala carte.

The breakfast spread includes fresh breads and baked goodies, made-to-order eggs, South Indian and Gujarati breakfast items like Khaman, Khakhra, Patra and a variety of snacks. The breakfast counter also serves fresh fruits, shakes, juices, and cereals. The choices are enough to fuel you up before heading out for the day.

You can also choose to dine at their outdoor restaurant “The Riverfront Grill”, a scenic alfresco grill and barbeque restaurant. A beautiful fountain illuminated by colorful lights adds to the beauty of the place. The terrace offers a striking view of the city lights in the distance. The place is great for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. Candlelight dinner is arranged on request.

Hotel Amenities:

The hotel has all the usual amenities of a business and luxury hotel: a fast wifi connection, friendly concierge desk, a large pool area, fitness gym, and multiple restaurants except for a Spa. However, the picturesque Moroccan inspired pool with its calmness and beauty dwarves any shortcomings. The water was colder than I expected, and I wish I had more time to take a quick dip.

Overall Experience at Lemon Tree Premier, the Atrium – Ahmedabad:

From the time we checked in until check out, we had a flawless experience. The friendly staff also helped us with recommendations to try around. The hotel arranges airport/station transfers on request. It provides a comprehensive hotel stay experience. It also hosts weddings and corporate parties. During our stay, the hotel was sold out for the ongoing wedding celebrations over the weekend.

They even have day rooms between 8 am to 8 pm suitable for business travelers. A quick tip: check for last min deals that include some great offers here.

Having friends and cousins stayed here in the past who have shared positive reviews, I can gladly say that Lemon Tree makes for a great stay for families and business purposes alike.

The service is excellent and the warm hospitality is a warrant I would want to return here again 😊 A sincere thanks to the Gen. Manager, Mr. Ajit Singh who ensured our experience was a memorable one.
